The Diocese of Gloucester Academies Trust seek to appoint a School Finance Partner.

 

We are seeking to appoint a School Finance Partner to support the Trust’s central finance function. This is an exciting role recently created within the central team, and the appointment seeks to increase the size and capacity of the central finance team. The role reports to the Finance Manager and the position holder will work across a number of schools supporting Headteachers in the management and delivery of annual budgets, as well as taking responsibility for core finance activities including payroll processing and financial reporting. Standard purchasing work is completed through the Administration teams at each school. This is a varied role and would suit a candidate who enjoys working in diverse teams and has a strong preference for finance tasks. The work requires a “can-do” attitude. On the job training is available and we are interested in receiving applications from candidates who can demonstrate a strong aptitude for finance, regardless of experience level. Applications from candidates with financial experience outside the education sector are also welcome. 

The post is offered as a salary of £38,288. The post has a five-point range, which with annual increment over five years is expected to increase to £42,184. 

This is a full-time post for 37.5 hours a week, all year round. Reduced hours would be considered and candidates are invited to request an informal pre-application conversation regarding this.

The Diocese of Gloucester Academies Trust seek to appoint Midday Supervisors to work at Winchcombe Abbey C of E Primary School.

We are seeking a caring, reliable and proactive Midday Supervisory Assistant providing one-to-one support for a child with an EHCP during the lunchtime period. The child has cerebral palsy and epilepsy, and requires adult support to ensure safety, comfort and inclusion during lunch and play.

 

Main Duties / Responsibilities: 

  • Provide 1:1 supervision and support during eating and play, ensuring the child’s safety and wellbeing at all times.

  • Assist with mobility and positioning, following appropriate guidance and manual handling protocols.

  • Be alert to signs of seizure activity and respond calmly and appropriately, following the child’s individual healthcare plan.

  • Promote inclusive play and social interaction with peers.

  • Liaise with class staff and the SENDCo to ensure continuity of care and communication.

  • Perform duties as part of the lunchtime team under the direction of the SLT in regards to the supervision of children throughout the lunchtime break 

  • To encourage the inclusion and acceptance of all children regardless of differences or stages in development 

  • Attend training courses, as required 

  • Read all communication sent by the school via email on a weekly basis.  

  • Ensure all school policies are followed 

  • Support safeguarding and behaviour procedures within the school, ensuring procedures are followed at all times, reporting any issues to the Class Teacher daily 

  • Recording safeguarding concerns via CPOMS  

  • Ensure that first aid is provided in a case of accident or illness and to ensure accidents are recorded and reported to the Class Teacher 

  • Liaise professionally with all staff within the school at all times  

 

The post is offered at Grade 2 (SCP points 2-3) pro-rata per annum, term time only.

This is a part-time post for 5 hours per week working for 1 hour per day over lunchtimes Monday-Friday from 12.15pm-1.15pm.
