Role Title: EHCP Teaching Assistant (KS2)

The EHCP Teaching Assistant hours will be Monday to Friday, 9am – 12pm, term time only. This post is a fixed term contract linked to the child you will be supporting, therefore if the child’s level of support changes or the child leaves the school the contract will be amended accordingly.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have the ability to build supportive relationships with children providing the necessary guidance and instruction to help the child you will be working with grow towards achieving their full potential

  • Be patient and have a positive attitude

  • Have strong behaviour management skills and a variety of behaviour management strategies

  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to support the child’s needs

  • Be enthusiastic and willing to contribute to the busy life of the school

  • Have experience of working with children who have cognition and learning needs

  • Have flexibility around working hours

  • Be supportive of the Christian ethos of the school

The post is offered as a salary of Grade 3 (depending on experience) on a fixed term basis and is suitable for ECT’s.

This is a part-time post for 15 hours a week.

Minchinhampton CofE Primary Academy is seeking a skilled, conscientious Nursery Assistant to work in our Nursery. The early years nursery assistant will provide high quality education and care of the children in the School Nursery. They will nurture good working relationships with children, parents/carers in the role of Key Person. 

The successful applicant will: 

  • Work within the School Nursery as a member of the Nursery team to ensure that a balanced programme of interacted education and childcare provision is delivered which meets each individual child’s needs. 

  • Support and develop parent partnerships to ensure good collaborative working between home and nursery. 

  • Ensure that as a Nursery team member, the setting meets all legal requirements as set out in the EYFS statutory framework. 

  • Undertake the role of Key Person to a number of children, completing all associated paperwork as required. 

This role is for a fixed term commencing as soon as possible and continuing so long as funding is available to the employer to support the post advertised.
