The Diocese of Gloucester Academies Trust is seeking to appoint a CIPD Level 5 HR advisor. This is an exciting new role within the central team which offers a diverse range of responsibilities where no two days will be the same. This role is the result of a decision by the Trust Board to bring HR advice in-house and marks a significant development in the Trust’s growth.

 The successful applicant will provide high-quality, pragmatic HR advice and support to school leaders and the central team, in line with the Trust’s distinctive Christian vision and values; acting as a trusted first point of contact on a wide range of employee relations and people matters. 

The postholder will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the Trust’s Strategic Plan and People Strategy, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, safer recruitment practices, and Trust policies, while promoting a positive and inclusive working culture across all schools.

The post is offered at a starting salary of £30,660 (pro rata) on a permanent basis subject the successful completion of a probationary period. The pro rata salary scale for this role is £30,660-£33,747.58 (FTE £38,325-£42,184).

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Family Support Worker to join our primary school, with responsibility as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL). This pivotal role will work closely with children, families and external agencies to support pupil wellbeing, remove barriers to learning and promote positive outcomes, while contributing to the school’s safeguarding leadership.

The successful candidate will have strong experience of working with families, a sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures, and the confidence to support complex cases within a multi‑agency context. You will be reflective, resilient and relationship‑focused, able to build trust with families while maintaining professional curiosity and clear boundaries. The post is offered as a salary of Grade 5, Points (12-14) dependant on experience.

We are seeking a committed, caring and enthusiastic person to take charge of our Breakfast Club for our children aged 4 -11 years. You will be responsible for setting up and serving breakfast, welcoming and supervising the Breakfast Club children and keeping the area tidy and clean. We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and resilient 1:1 Midday Supervisory Assistant (MDSA) to support a pupil with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs during lunchtime. 

This role is centred around helping the pupil access social times in a way that is safe, purposeful and positive. St Mary's is committed to inclusion in all areas of the curriculum and school life, especially those moments which can offer some of the most valuable learning opportunities, such as play time. The successful candidate will help the child develop social skills, emotional regulation and secure friendships, while reducing the likelihood of negative peer interactions or unsafe behaviour. 

 
We are looking for someone who is: 

  • Energetic, creative and fun 

  • Calm, patient and emotionally resilient 

  • A strong positive role model for children 

  • Quick to learn and able to adapt to changing situations 

  • Able to build warm, trusting relationships with children and staff 

  • Committed to helping maintain a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all pupils during lunchtime 

Experience of working with children is welcomed but not essential. We are far more interested in finding someone with the right attitude, enthusiasm and willingness to learn. 
 
The successful candidate will: 

  • Support the pupil to engage positively in play and social activities 
    Encourage safe and successful interactions with peers, including appropriate conflict resolution 

  • Use a calm and consistent approach to support emotional regulation 

  • Scaffold structured, enjoyable activities/games during unstructured times 

  • Work closely with school staff to ensure the pupil feels safe, supported and included 

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, can think creatively and wants to make a genuine difference to a child’s school experience. 

The post is offered as a salary of Grade 4, depending on the candidate, and is a fixed-term position as it is linked to the EHCP of a pupil. 

This is a part-time post for 5 hours per week, working Monday-Friday lunchtimes.

This is a part time fixed term post, working 0.8 FTE hours per week Tuesday to Friday. The start date for this role is 1 September 2026 fixed term until 31 August 2027.
