A great opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, flexible and committed School Business Manager to join our Leadership Team! This is an exciting time to join Hardwicke Parochial Primary Academy and to be part of the Diocese of Gloucester Academy Trust family (DGAT).


The role of SBM offers an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of operations at this friendly and welcoming school. You will work closely with the Headteacher on the financial and business aspect of running a school.  As part of the Diocese of Gloucester Academies Trust, we benefit from support offered from the central team.  Here, at the Academy, we have a highly dedicated team of enthusiastic, skilled and supportive staff and an excellent parental and pupil community.


As an experienced SBM, you will know that no one day is ever the same and you will need to be all things to all people. You will have experience in a diverse range of activities which may include finance, human resources or health and safety.  You will be an integral part of the running of the office and directly work with a team of three other members of staff.


The post is fulltime (37.5 hours per week) and is term time plus 2 weeks through school holidays. Five inset days which equates to 1 week and the 2nd week to be utilised to accommodate budget setting and Year End.

Winchcombe Abbey Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and energetic, qualified teaching assistant, who is able to support a KS2 pupil with their learning and social skills.

This post is a fixed term contract linked to the child you will be supporting, therefore if the child’s level of support changes or the child leaves the school the contract will be amended accordingly.

The Teaching Assistant hours will be Monday Friday 8:40am 12:25pm, with 3 afternoons 1:20pm 3:15pm (days to be confirmed ). The post is term time only. The post will also involve supporting the child for 30 mins each lunchtime with social interactions with peers.

We are looking for someone who:


  • has experience of working in schools in a similar role,

  • has an NVQ 2 (or equivalent) or higher qualification,

  • has knowledge of My Plans, EHCPs and reviewing and setting targets,

  • has knowledge of the primary phase and is able to support the development of reading, writing and maths,

  • is able to work alongside outside agencies (including attending meetings) to support the learning and development of the child,

  • has good interpersonal skills especially when working with children, colleagues and parents/carers, whilst upholding the ethos of the school,

  • can establish good relationships with children and develop firm boundaries, whilst respecting their social and emotional needs

  • is able to identify children's strengths and targets to help build their development,

  • is supportive and keen to work as a part of a team,

  • will support and enhance the Christian values of our school.
