The Diocese of Gloucester Academies Trust is delighted to advertise for the post of Headteacher at Clearwater Church of England Primary Academy.  This is a permanent, full-time position from September 2025 

 

This role provides an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced leader to lead a team of passionate teaching and support staff to ensure high quality teaching and learning, building on the strong foundations developed by the outgoing leader.

Under the direction of the Lead Teacher and within Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), to plan for, assist and support children who have Autistic Spectrum Disorders and associated language, interaction, learning and communication difficulties.  The aim of the Communication and Interaction Centre (C&I Centre) is to enable full and independent access to the curriculum and facilitate full inclusion into school life. This will include providing specialist support to children within the mainstream setting at Christ Church.

We are seeking to appoint a SEND EHCP Teaching Partner (currently Year 4) to be a part of our dedicated and caring team. We are looking for someone with SEND experience, to support a pupil with EHCP provision within the classroom setting. The applicant should have some experience of supporting a pupil with SEMH and ADHD.  The applicant should be able to adapt the learning and provide sufficient SEMH support as outlined in the EHCP, under the direction of the Class Teacher and SENDCO.  The applicant will need to monitor and evidence progress towards the EHCP outcomes, and will be an active participant in the ECHP process. The ideal candidate will have a positive and professional outlook, to support the pupils’ wellbeing. The Teaching Partner will be part of the year group team.

Post Title:  1 to 1 Teaching Assistants

Salary: Grade 5 (Point 11 to 14) depending upon experience.

 Post 1 – This post is offered with an annual salary of £17,301 to £18,160 depending on experience, on a temporary basis.

Post 2 - This post is offered with an annual salary of £11,795 to £12,381 depending on experience, on a temporary basis.

Hours:

Post 1 – This is a part-time post for 20 + 7.5 hours per week (8:45 -12:15 each morning and 1:15 – 3:15 each afternoon.) 

Post 2 – This is a part-time post for 18.75 hours per week (8:45 -12:30 each morning).

Contract Type: Both posts are temporary, linked to children with EHCPs.

1:1 Teaching Assistants

We are seeking capable and enthusiastic teaching assistants to support children with social, emotional and mental health needs/ cognition and learning needs.  

The ideal candidate would be someone who will be able to:

  • be genuinely committed to developing caring and trusting relationships and supporting pupils with specific needs in accessing their education;

  • motivate and encourage the pupil;

  • be calm patient and adaptable;

  • work in class to support teaching and learning;

  • implement intervention programmes;

  • assist with providing verbal/ written feedback as appropriate;

  • be able to support the Christian ethos of the school.
