Contract: Full time term time only +2 weeks, permanent

Salary range: NJC Grade 9 (points 31-36) £39,186 to £44, 428
Based at 3 College Green Gloucester GL1 2LR
The Diocese of Gloucester Academies Trust (DGAT) is a popular, thriving and growing trust with 21 schools in the family. We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and skilled Finance Manager to our central team. This is a new role and we are looking for a candidate with an accounting background to join our existing, skilled, friendly and hard working team.

The main responsibilities of the post holder are:

To support the work of the Head of Finance in ensuring that all aspects of the financial management of the trust supports excellent outcomes for pupils.

To ensure compliance with the Academies Financial Handbook as well as the trust’s financial regulations and policies.
-
To provide high quality and accurate information to the Head of Finance.
-
To be a highly visible and credible finance manager providing advice and guidance to schools.
-
To provide high quality line management for the finance leads ensuring that schools receive consistent, and effective support and challenge around all aspects of financial management.

To create and oversee effective systems and processes for budget preparation and monitoring within schools, holding them to account for working within their allocated budget.

The successful candidate will need:
-
To have a pro-active, positive, can-do attitude with a creative approach to problem solving

To be an effective communicator with the ability to give supportive challenge
-
To be able to lead, organise and motivate a team
-
To hold at least an AAT Level 4 or equivalent level qualification
-
To have experience of preparing monthly management accounts and other financial reports.

To have experience in budget management and preparation.

To have experience in reconciling control accounts and resolving technical accounting issues.

To be able to organise effective and efficient office systems for record keeping, information retrieval and dissemination of data and documentation

To be committed to personal professional development

Class Teacher - Longney C of E Primary School

The Diocese of Gloucester Academies Trust seek to appoint a part-time main scale class teacher 0.55 FTE on a fixed-term contract to work at Longney CofE Primary School. The start date of this post will be as soon as possible after interview and the end date will be 31st August 2024. The working hours are Monday – Friday afternoons each week, with PPA paid outside of these teaching hours as 10%. The job will be teaching in our mixed year 3 and 4 class to cover leadership time Monday – Thursday and covering PPA in our mixed year 1 and 2 class on a Friday afternoon.
We are seeking a teacher who:
